The Harvest 2010
This is last year's
Red Russian Kale that is still
growing strong. I debated if I should pull it up
and replant, but it was growing so well that
I decided to keep it. I love this variety of kale
because it is soft green and therefore easy
to chew plus it has a pleasant but not
overpowering 'green taste.'
I am not particularly fond of peas, but I do enjoy
eating Sugar Snap Peas. Here they are just before picking.
I make a delicious raw pea soup with them and
we also enjoy them in salads, side dishes, and
as fast 'finger foods.'
