Dear Friends,
Greetings from the
hinterland of Maine where nary
a flake of snow or a patch of ice is on the
ground! While this
is a rare weather anomaly, most Mainers
(including me)
have had no difficulty enjoying the balmy
month of November
and December! The extended warmth
has been a welcomed boon
for those who had yet to plant garlic and
make final winter
preparations. I have been celebrating the
warm by letting the
woodstove rest! The reprieve from my 'winter
weight lifting'
routine is an unexpected but happy surprise.
Would it were
that winter would continue to be so warm and
friendly!
While the season continues to figure itself
out,
it is time to think healthy!
In an effort to solve
the 'greens gap' for winter eating,
this month's HANDS-ON HEALTH
will explore
'The Joys of SPROUTING!'
This presentation will
be a
hands-on, how-to into the wonderful world of
sprouting.
Come prepared to learn the basics of
sprouting
and how to turn your kitchen into a
mini-garden that will
boost the nutritional value of your winter
meals.
Sprouting is a fun, easy way to grow
healthier.
Join us to discover how the joys of sprouting
can add spring to your life! Details about
this
HANDS-ON HEALTH
meeting are posted below.
My featured article
this month,
'FOOD ADDITIVES: Friend or Foe?',
will explore the secret world of 'what's
in my food?'
Have you every wondered? If not, now is the
time to investigate! Learn the language of
food additives, and what that means to you,
the consumer. Are you eating food or is it
the figment of
some food manufacturer's imagination? Become
enlightened
and discerning concerning a subject that is
more
'up-close-and-personal' than you think!
Now for our usual
LIVING features follow below...

Open the Eyes of My Heart, Lord
Another year is quickly slipping by, and
hopefully
it has been a year of healthy growth for
everyone.
Though times are increasingly uncertain, the
future holds
great promise for those who love YHVH and
walk in His ways.
The year ends on several bright notes here at
The Living Way as I continue my commitment to
the
health message. I am happy to report that my
efforts as a
Health Minister are being bouyed as two
health practitioner
friends have joined hands (and hearts) to
open
Heart to Heart Connection Wellness
Center
in Winslow. Their long-held dream of offering
natural solutions to personal health
challenges
becomes a reality when its door opens January
2016.
The arrival of the Wellness Center is a
welcomed sign
that the day of wellness is here!
Look for The Living Way to be part of this
new venture.
More information will be forthcoming, when it
is available.
For now, I encourage
everyone toward gaining a
better quality of life in the coming year.
Each of us has a part
in YHVH's plan and purposes. If we are tired,
sick, and distressed,
we cannot do His bidding. Learning to live
the living way
is not difficult. It is simply a matter of heart.
Teach me your way, YHVH, that I
may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart, that I may fear
your name.- Psalms 86:11
For your excellent health and His glory,
Mary
