Dear Friends,
The rumble of snowplows
signals that winter has arrived in Maine!
Sadly the balmy days of December that
required little to no
wood fire have come to an end. It is now time
for winter fun
like chipping ice off the steps and car
windows, brushing snow,
shoveling snow, walking in snow, and driving
in snow (and ice).
Whoopie! While Mainers were quick to swing
into high gear
with snowblowers, snowthrowers, snowplows,
snowsuits,
snowmobiles, and snow sports, their
enthusiasm has been
cut short by the return of unseasonably warm
weather!
Who ever heard of 48 degrees in January?
While winter is yet deciding what to do,
healthy happenings continue
on at The Living Way. This month's HANDS-ON
HEALTH
meeting, 'Fermented Foods: A
Hands-on, How-To,'
will be an informal
demonstration into the why's and wherefore's
of cultured, 'fermented,' foods. There is
healthy science behind
this ancient art of preserving foods that is
bound to pique
your interest. Come and learn about fermented
foods and
how to make them! Details about this
HANDS-ON HEALTH
meeting are posted below.
To help you start the
new year with healthy vigor,
my featured article, 'Food
for Thought,' serves
as inspirational fuel.
Written in a quaint and familiar style, I
present a collection of
constructive thoughts that are aimed to give
the reader ample pause
for thought. This being said, I invite you to
'eat up' and 'chew well'
for a healthier, new you!
Now for our usual
LIVING features...

In closing, please note that due to our LIVE
FOOD DINNER
next month, there will be no newsletter.
When, how, or if
my monthly newsletter will resume, I
presently do not know.
The growing need for technological upgrades
and more staff
at this end causes me to assess current
ministry operations.
How these issues are resolved will determine
the future
of this website as well as my monthly LIVING
Letter.
Allowing for this
crossroads, I find it curious if not timely
that
George Malkmus, founder of Hallelujah Acres,
sent out his
last weekly Hallelujah
Health Tip on December 14.
After writing 945 consecutive Health Tips
over a span of
twenty years, George has officially laid down
his pen.
Congratulations, George, on a job well done!
It was through the ministry of Hallelujah
Acres
that we learned the health message.
All this being said,
the flow of life continues here at
The Living way. As a Health Minister I remain
dedicated and
look forward to seeing what YHVH will do with
this ministry.
While the vast majority will never realize a
life that is vibrant and
sickness-free, a faithful few will. These are
the pioneers and
way-makers who have caught the vision of the
Kingdom of YHVH
and dare to live it each day. True to the
scripture, there is a place
near to the heart of YHVH where there is no
sickness, heartache,
sorrow or tears. This quality of life is
possible now.
Thus I invite you to
start the new year by claiming a new you
the living way. In the words of George
Malkmus,
"Remember, you don't have to
be sick!"
The thief comes only to steal and kill and
destroy;
I have come that they may have life, and have
it to the full.
John 10:10 (NIV)
For your excellent health and His glory,
Mary
