The Spiritual Roots of Health- Part 3
by Mary Louise;Town Jaqua, Health Minister

Finding one's way through life often presents challenges,
if not formidable dilemmas. What to do, how to do it, where
to go, and where not to go can become daily connundrums
that often baffle, especially when trying to resolve issues
of personal health. Suffice to say, along life's highway there
are no sign posts, no traffic lights, no road markers to
physically give us directions. Therefore we often end up
navigating through life utilizing a road map that is patterned
by the influences of family, friends, school, church, TV,
newspapers, magazines, books, organized institutions,
and corporate government. Allowing for the power that we
give these influences to shape our daily lives, it is no wonder
that sometimes we become confused, if not lost, especially
when it comes to finding personal happiness and wellbeing.

The prophet Isaiah told us, 'all we like sheep have gone
astray; we have turned everyone to his own way;'

-Isaiah 53:6
. That YHVH Almighty would compare His
people to sheep is noteworthy. Sheep are reputed to be
the dumbest of all animals. Without constant guidance from
their shepherd, they easily become lost. Likewise, we are
lost in this world if we do not have the Master Shepherd,
Yahshua Messiah, guide us. He alone knows the way,
because He IS the way. Hence, to find our way through
life means that we must return to our spiritual roots,
to YHVH Himself, that we may learn how to live and
prosper.

Life is based upon YHVH's righteous principles, i.e. laws
that are wholesome and good. If we obey these laws,
we prosper. If we disobey them, we face potentially
adverse consequences. In Deuteronomy 28 and 29 YHVH
lays out the blueprint for successful living. This blueprint contains YHVH's spiritual guidelines to us who are traveling
through the wilderness of this world.

One of our first lessons in life is that YHVH's law is spiritual.
Though it cannot be seen or touched, it is real. His law must
be perceived by our spirit before it can be received in our
hearts as truth. Thus we must hear truth by the Spirit of
YHVH, so that we can know how to live. This is called
trusting YHVH and obeying His word (law). For some, this
process is easy; for others, it is not. So it is that when it
comes to pursuing ultimate health, the battle line is drawn,
and the war for the wellbeing of the body temple begins.
Will we give in to the sensual appetites of our souls and eat
whatever we like or shall we listen to the Spirit of YHVH
and eat what is good for us, according to His Genesis 1:29
diet?

The call to ultimate health goes out, but adopting a live
food lifestyle is often fraught with debate, argument, and
controversy. Personal as well as social conflicts arise.
For some, the Standard American Diet dies hard, especially
for meat eaters. The vegan diet is sometimes a hard sell.
Thus, we find that while many people sincerely want to
improve the quality of their health and have good intentions
to do so, they are caught in a battle: they know what they
should and want to eat, but for some reason(s) can not,
will not, or simply do not do it. The Apostle Paul summed
up the matter succinctly when he said,

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I
am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I
do I know not: for not what I would, that
do I practice; but what I hate, that I do.
But if what I would not, that I do, I
consent unto the law that it is good.
-Romans 7:14-17

Sadly, many people defer to their learned lifestyle pattern
rather than answer the call to ultimate health. However,
their actions do not disannul the law of Genesis 1:29
nor make YHVH's diet of non affect. Truth is truth and
scripture tells us that once we have heard the truth,
we are responsible for it. Refusing truth can lead to
serious, sometimes fatal, consequences.

There is a way which seemeth right unto
a man, But the end thereof are the ways
of death.- Proverbs 16:25

To him therefore that knoweth to do good,
and doeth it not, to him it is sin. James 4:17

According to this scripture, to refuse to do what we
know is good and right, in this instance to eat YHVH's
plant-based diet, is a sin. By definition, 'sin' is separation
from YHVH. Once we cut ourselves off from Him Who
is Life, we begin living under a curse. The curse can be
multifold and can include sickness, pain, disease or death.
Though YHVH is merciful, gracious, forgiving, slow to anger,
as well as able and willing to heal, we cannot and should
not expect Him to forgive an habitual refusal to properly
care for our body temple. To do so is to misunderstand
and misappropriate the word of YHVH.

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of YHVH, in
whom ye were sealed unto the day of
redemption.- Ephesians 4:30

What shall we say then? Shall we continue
in sin, that grace may abound?- Romans 6:1

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the
Spirit, are ye now perfected in the flesh?
Galatians 3:3

Allowing for our actions or inactions, as the case may
be, we would do well to examine our ways, asking
such questions as: what do I want out of life, what
are my personal priorities, what is my purpose for
living? Those who profess faith and obedience to YHVH
might want to search their hearts to find out how much
they really love Yahshua. As believers who profess to
love and follow Him, why do our actions sometimes
not prove it? Why are we still eating at the world's
dinner table and expecting YHVH to sanction and
bless our SAD indulgences?

As a health minister of thirteen years, I am convinced
that most people refuse YHVH's live food diet because
they do not love Him.
They love the Standard American
Diet, a diet that is scientifically, medically, and biblically
proven to be harmful for the body, being the major cause
of sickness, pain, disease, and death. Sadly, most people
would rather eat toxic, poisonous food than adopt YHVH's
wholesome live food diet, a diet that would bless and keep
their body temple strong, healthy, and dis-ease free. Those
who have heard the call to ultimate health, but continue
eating the Standard American Diet prove that they love the
SAD way of life more than life itself. For these, the world's
diet is but another idol, a modern day monument to bad
taste, ill health, and unnecessary death. Yahshua said,
"
If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments."
(John 14:15),
but how many believe His words much
less act upon them?

For some strange reason, man thinks that he knows it
all and owns it all, to include his body temple. Therefore,
engaging the Standard American Diet is justified, condoned, enjoyed, promoted, and accepted without conscience
though it is in direct violation of YHVH's first dietary law. Contrary to what man might think, say or do:

The earth is the YHVH's and the fullness
thereof; the world, and all that dwell in it.
Psalm 24:1

For none of us liveth to himself, and none
dieth to himself. For whether we live, we
live unto YHVH; or whether we die, we die
unto YHVH: whether we live therefore, or
die, we are YHVH's. -Romans 14:7,8

These above scriptures confirm that we do not own
anything, including ourselves. In fact, the world and
indeed life itself is greater than we think. Whether we
accept it or not, YHVH Almighty is sovereign, and we
are but a small part of His vast, eternal plan and domain.
The prophet Isaiah states that the nations(people) are
but a drop in a bucket (Isaiah 10:15). Allowing for the
magnitude of YHVH, we should respect His ways and
realize that His laws are made for our wellbeing- spirit,
soul, and body.

Therefore, concerning the issue of personal health, we
should gladly embrace YHVH's high road to ultimate health
by adopting His plant-based diet. However, more people
there are who travel the low, SAD road only to discover
the pitfalls of ill health. Many times it is the goodness and
mercy of YHVH to send us sickness, so that we can
discover His better way of living. It is His love and grace
to teach us the principles/laws of life that we might prosper.
The hard places in life often force us to trust Him, learn
His ways, and let Him carry our burdens, including our
infirmities.

To those who are traveling life's highway, being heavy-
laden with personal health woes and struggling with the
call to ultimate health, may the following advice speak
to your spirit and give you hope for a better tomorrow:

1) Acknowledge that YHVH Almighty is sovereign
and rules over all.
He Who formed the worlds and is
the Creator of all life is well able to meet your need(s).
He Who made you knows best how to take care for
you. Trust Him.

2) Humble yourself. Realize that you are not the
center of the universe nor are you the savior of the
world.

3) Repent of the error(s) of your ways (sins). Ask
Yahshua Messiah, Who suffered and died for you,
to forgive your faults, shortcomings, and errant ways.

4) Ask Yahshua into your heart.
He welcomes
the invitation and will be glad to become your personal
Savior and Guide.

5) Read your bible. Begin reading the scriptures
on a daily basis. Start in the new testament and
get to know Yahshua as a friend.

6) Pray. Ask Yahshua to teach you how to live.
Be sincere and specific in your requests, and He
will answer.

7) Be willing to do His will. YHVH's ways are
higher than our ways. If we want His blessings,
we must be willing to receive them on His terms.

8) Build relationships with those who support
your desire to live well.
Seek people who
encourage a healthy lifestyle- naturally as well as
spiritually. Avoid stressful relationships, negative
people, and harmful circumstances.

8) Keep your eyes on your goal. Don't let
circumstances or the opinions of well-meaning
family, friends, fellow business workers, pastors, etc.
deter you on your pathway to ultimate health. Love
and forgive those who do not understand the path
that you have chosen.

In conclusion

We live in difficult days that demand our careful
consideration, especially when issues of personal
wellness are at stake. In times like these, we need
answers for health problems like never before.
We need deliverance from the ravages of the
world's diseases: heart disease, stroke, cancer,
diabetes, fibromyalgia, kidney disease, arthritis, back
problems, Alzeihmer's, ADD, obesity, and more.
YHVH said that if we obeyed Him, He would put
none of the diseases of Egypt (i.e. the world) upon
us. Do we believe Him? Does His Genesis 1:29 diet
work?

Countless testimonies of the remarkable efficacy of
YHVH's original diet to resolve even the most chronic
of health conditions exist. Scientifically, medically, and
biblically there is no debate that given fresh, raw, living
foods, the body heals itself. It is equally true that proper
nutrition not only heals the body, but also aids in healing
the spirit. Physical, emotional, and mental trauma often
overburden the spirit, causing additional weight that
one's spirit is unable to handle. So it is that healing the
whole man begins on the inside by eating living foods
and exercising one's body, mind, and spirit.

The point of this series of writings has been to present
to the reader that the wellbeing of our body temple is
largely dependant upon the condition of our spirit.
Whereas exceptions exist, the fact remains that in
order to be ultimately healthy, we must be spiritually
sound. Our spirits must be awakened and made alive
by the Spirit of YHVH. Eating YHVH's living foods alone
begins this awakening process, causing the body to
come alive with wondrous energy and vitality. The
greatest awakening and healing, however, occurs when
we accept Yahshua Messiah as our personal Savior.
When we reach out and touch the risen Lamb of
Calvary, that is when life truly begins.

Now the YHVH is that Spirit: and where the
Spirit of the YHVH is, [there] is liberty.
2 Corinthians 3:17

Beloved, I pray that in all things thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.- 3 John 1:2

The thief cometh not, but that he may steal,
and kill, and destroy: I came that they may
have life, and may have [it] abundantly.
John 10:10

Food for thought-
"What happens to a person when he keeps bitterness
on the inside for many years? What happens to him
physically? Can he get physically sick? Suppose it is
bitterness toward some member of the family. He's
kept it inside, he has not shared it. He has not defiled
many people- he has kept it down inside. When he keeps
it inside for some years, he finally begins to hurt. He
goes to the doctor and the doctor says, "You are right,
you are sick. But your sickness is not the kind I deal
with. I am going to send you to the other kind of doctor."

So he sends him to the psychiatrist, and the psychiatrist
agrees, "Yes, you are sick all right. And I know why you
are sick. You are sick because of 20 years of bitterness
towards your father. You have kept it suppressed all
these years and it's just rotted out your insides. You
have kept this poison within and this acid on the inside
has made you just physically ill. So what I want you to
do is I want you to go home and share it with your father.
Why keep it in and get sick? Let it out. Get everybody
else sick."
