Ministry update
Dear
Friends,
Hello
again! After a brief few weeks' absence,
we are glad to be back and ready to 'talk healthy'
again. So, ready or not, here we go!
As we
move into March, we declare that we have
turned the corner on winter, a winter that was
largely
mild and nearly snow-less. While the season appears
to be trying to make up for its lack of performance
with
some recent flings of snow and cold, hopefully this
'grand finale' will not last long. We do not want
winter
in spring! As it turns out, due to last January's one
and
only major winter storm, our HANDS-ON HEALTH
meeting had to be cancelled. This presentation will
be rescheduled in the spring. Stay tuned for details.
Meanwhile,
the home fires of The Living Way are
burning bright and strong as daily we work out a
healthy lifestyle that is both a blessing and a
challenge. We are happy to report that last month's
LIVE FOOD DINNER was a great success. The food
was excellent, the fellowship was sweet, and our
speaker's presentation was invigorating. Healthy
happenings are taking place in our community!
Become involved! If you missed this evening of
healthy fun, catch some photos here and look for
the rerun of our LIVE FOOD DINNER on Channel 7.
At
our HANDS-ON HEALTH meeting this month,
I will talk about the need to 'Cleanse Your Body!'
This presentation promises to enlighten as
well as
educate. Joining me will be fellow health enthusiast,
Valery Mamonov, who will be sharing his cleansing
experience 'up-close-and-personal.' Learn the
importance of cleansing the body for the sake of
ultimate health. This is a must-see-hear
presentation!
Plan to attend. Invite family and friends. Learn more
about our HANDS-ON HEALTH meeting here.
This
month's feature article, 'The Road to Wellness-
Part 2' is the conclusion to 'The Road to Wellness-
Part 1' which was posted in January. Hopefully you
have taken time to ponder Part 1 and are ready for
the second installment. This series is both a lesson
in contrast and a personal challenge toward
achieving a better quality of life. Consider your
options and make life decisions accordingly that
your road to wellness may indeed lead to ultimate
health. (Review 'The Road to Wellness- Part 1' here.)
Links
to important news articles follow along in
this newsletter. There is much happening in our
world that is ever-shaping and ever-changing our
lives, much of which is not positive. As usual we
encourage you to investigate health issues and
become proactive. Suffice to say, it is becoming
increasingly difficult, if not dangerous, to pursue
a healthy lifestyle. Do not be intimidated in the
process. Take a stand for wellness by taking
charge of your health while you can.
By way
of example, for a number of months we
have warned of the dangers surrounding the new
'smart meters.' Though ample evidence exists,
attesting to the harmful affects of these meters,
corporate consensus insists upon foisting this
technology on a largely ignorant public. Do not
be fooled much less drawn in to this propaganda.
Smart meters are a serious health threat. This fact
was evidenced at our LIVE FOOD DINNER last
month, when two or possibly three attendees
became ill. We believe that the problem was not
food poisoning (!) but fallout from the library's
newly-installed 'smart meter.' Suffice to say, the
affects of microwave radiation are real. In light
of this development, we are actively seeking a
safer venue for our monthly meetings. Stay
tuned for details.
Thus
our commitment to healthy living goes on,
often with more difficult plowing. Nevertheless, we
are thankful for progress. Life is growing better as
we persevere. During our brief newsletter
'sabbitcal,'
we found ourselves engulfed in a flurry of activity,
some expected and some not. Our new-found time
afforded us the opportunity to clean Lily's study as
well as my office. What a joy! An added surprise was
the arrival of a new, high-powered computer for me.
I am blessed beyond words. Bear with me as I look
to improvement our look and add new posts!
With
thoughts of spring rumbling and garden talk
ramping up, we encourage you to consider growing
some of your own food. It is not only fun but
practical. Allowing for the rising cost of food, a
small investment of time, money, and effort can
pay great dividends!
In
closing, there is no doubt that we are living in
difficult but exhilirating times. As we press beyond
life's challenges to realize a better world for
ourselves and our loved ones, let us not grow
weary nor be discouraged. Life is what we make it.
Saying good-bye to old ways and bad habits is
worth it. Choosing what is wholesome and good
holds great benefits. Let your life be an example
of health, happiness, and hope!
Even
so let your light shine before
men; that they may see your good
works, and glorify your Father who
is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

3) Feature
Article: The Road to Wellness- Part 2'
You are sick, so what
do you do...run to the doctor?
This all-American response to dealing with health
problems was addressed in our last feature article,
'The Road to Wellness- Part 1, wherein was
evidenced that submitting to conventional medical
modalities can be harmful, if not fatal, to one's
health. Given this fact, what can we do to resolve
health problems? Is there an 'alternative route'
that we can take? If so, what is it?
